Dr Robbie Nel, a local doctor in Kiepersol/Hazyview, has created a trail run on his farm in Graskop and us gals went and tried it out during the December holidays. We got to Kruger’s Gold Restaurant near to Graskop early that morning, and managed to find the trail with a little bit if help from the groundsman. Plenty of rain had fallen in the area and with the trail not yet been attended to, had overgrown. This did not deter us – Marthie, Sarah and myself were togged out in our running kit and Ang grabbed her MTB.
After a while it was too difficult to run or cycle, the path also disappeared, but we plodded on. We took pictures of the spectacular Graskop vistas. We managed to find another part of the trail that lead up to Runway 33. A long sprint up the airstrip and then back to the car parked at Kruger’s Gold Restaurant. Then it was time to have a delicious breakfast, and the view – WOW.
